Construction

As you can see this is our house that we bought. The house isn't really that big, but to us it is a "Mansion". We have a lot of ground, just a little below a half acre. Which means lots of grass to keep cutting. (A short story--When we were looking for a house we had said that we wanted a lot of space so our neighbors couldn't hear us or we hear them. This house was perfect until, we had to cut the grass for the first time. As we were doing it with our little power lawn mower there was a little questioning as do we want all this open space. After that we went out and bought a larger and a Wheel driven mower!!!! There is plenty of space for Pattie to keep her garden growing. Pattie does a great job since that she has only started trying to have a garden 2 years ago. I'm not going into the different flowers and plants that she has been working on. The most productive of the ones that are worth mention are a Fake Sunflower and Elephant ears. (Both which are shown below) We have a number of trees that Pattie keeps care of, some that we moved and transplanted in different places and some we totally removed. Pattie has become the little "Green Thumb".

We didn't have to do to much before, or after we moved in. The house was only 10yrs old when we bought it, and in perfect shape. One thing that we wanted to make was a place for our guys and girls to enjoy the outside, and get some fresh air and sun. So Pattie and I (who never built anything before) started to build an addition we didn't even have any plans. We just started cutting wood and framed out a addition, added screens, and a roof and there it was. This really made the guys and girls very happy.

We are now in the process of painting the different rooms of the house, and will add these pictures when we are done. What I should say is that Pattie is doing much of the painting, I'm just helping with it.

More to come when we finish !
